Event Overview

Coaching to Racing Sessions for Women provide a dedicated coaching environment for female riders, wanting to develop their skills and confidence in race and riding techniques. Riders will develop race technique and confidence over the course of the coaching program, with the aim of taking part in an entry-level race series.

The Coaching to Racing sessions are part of a series of women's development sessions planned to encourage and increased participation and build confidence to take the step into competitive racing. 

British Cycling would like to invite all women to join these cycling sessions and be part of a new generation of female riders.

The sessions give women and girls the opportunity to:

  • Ride with friends and others of similar ability
  • Develop bike handling techniques
  • Learn about group riding techniques and etiquette
  • Develop cycling fitness
  • Develop Race Skills

The coaching session is for Women and Girls over 16yrs old. 

This is the second of our Women's try out sessions at Goodwood for 2019 aimed at Cat 4 Women or Women who have not raced previously. The session will be led by a BC coach and is intended to increase participants skills and confidence in a bunch race situation.

About the Event

Info for Riders

You will need to bring:

  • A bike - in good working order
  • Helmet and gloves
  • Appropriate clothing
  • Drink and snacks

Also, be prepared for a good physical workout with techniques coached throughout the session on improving all aspects of your bike riding.

Parking available by the Old Control Tower cafe turn imediatley left once inside the main gate. Registration opens at 5:30pm to start at 6:30pm. All participants will be sent an email with full joining instructions one week before the session.
