SE Junior Road Race Series #2 - Kent

Event Overview

Three races spread across the SE region as a build up the Junior Regional Road Race Championships. Priority entry to male and female juniors.

Cash prizes available at each race and a winners jersey for the Junior Series.  

Each race will have separate points available to Juniors and 3rd category riders.

Races will all be up to 90Km, see specific races and series link for more info. Races are all planned to use Accreddited Marshals.

These races need the support of additional marshals and volunteers. If you know anyone who can assist as marshals, drivers or at sign on, please contact the race organiser for the event they can assist at.

Although this series is predominantly aimed for Junior riders, 3rd category men and women can also enter the races within the three week period before the race start date subject to spaces being available.

About the Event

Info for Riders

GEAR RESTRICTIONS DO APPLY - see technical regulation 3.3.1.

Juniors shall be restricted to a maximum gear such that the distance covered per crank revolution is 7.93 meters.

All bikes will need to be checked prior to sign on and the first three riders plus any picked at random in addition to those using gear locking will be rechecked as soon as the event finishes. If the bike does not meet the regulations the rider will be disqualified.

3rds - with 3 weeks to go the organiser will begin accepting entries to a Regional B race open to Category 3 riders, priority given to U23 and SE Region. Spaces available will depend on the amount of Junior entrants as both races will run together. Total field size for both races 60.

Series winner will be deemed as the Junior rider with cumulative lowest finishing position across the 3 races in total, this does require participation in at least 2 of the 3 races.

NO FEED ZONES, TEAM CARS OR NEUTRAL SERVICE.
