- Aimed at riders who are:

- 10-16 years old

- Part of a WC GoRide Club or WC Affilated Club

- Club clusters of coaching are 40% skill and 60% fitness. 

- Aimed at riders who would like to upskill their cycling skills through Track coached techniques. and/or thinking to race events or currently racing. These sessions sit above club level in the development pathway, and help transition into Club cluster of training sessions, usually 14yrs + 

Each club cluster will have a different coaching outcomes progressing and focusing on different techniques and skills throughout the year.

About the Event

Info for Riders

- Please bring a track bike in good working order, a helmet, and gloves. Open to riders 10-16 Years old. U12-U16 category.


Riders can borrow a track bike on the day - Riders will need to inform the organiser/coach when entering to arrange a borrowed track bike. 


Please dress appropriate to the season, for example if it is winter and riders have bare legs and arms then unfortantely they cannot ride. To keep warm it can be suggested to wear leg/arm warmers, bib tights, base layers/coats etc. 

- Riders will be accept/rejected nearer to the event date. There will be an email to each accepted rider to provide more details of the layout of the day. 

- Consent forms will need to be completed before the session, this can be sent back to the organiser via email, or given before the session on the day. Consent forms are attached when entering the rider. 

'Track Minimum Criteria to Enter
Starts: Start and stop safely using the inner rail and perimeter fence.

Riding in lines: Follow another rider at a bike length gap on the black, red, and blue lines and perimeter fence.

Slow speed skills: Ride one handed in the straights. Ride in the straight at slower than walking pace and perform a complete stop on the apron and roll away.

Group riding: Ride in pairs, within a handlebar width gap apart on the black, red and blue line and perimeter fence.

Changes: Change from the front of a line to the back when riding on the blue.
Acceleration: Perform a seated acceleration in a straight line, maintaining race position.

Attacking and finishing: Perform a lunge at the end of a time trail.

Observation: Look over both shoulders whilst in race position.

Gap Management: When in a line, moderate the gap to the rider in front using pedals.
