Elgin CC Charity Cycle in aid of Abbie's Sparkle Foundation

Event Overview

Elgin Cycle Club's Charity Cycle will feature a 100km route and a new 50km route this year. The event starts at Elgin City Football Club and involves some steady climbing through the southern hills of Moray and Nairnshire. The new route is still a challenge but starts later and the pace is expected to be more leisurely.

Our charity this year is Abbie's Sparkle Foundation a local charity set up by a remarkable teenager  who, when faced with a terminal illness set up a charity to provide children dealing with cancer with a little 'sparkle' .

About the Event

Info for Riders

The 100km event starts at 09.00 and the 50km at 10.00. We recommend that cyclists arrive at least 30 minutes before the start for registration. Tea and coffee will be available. 

The route is as follows :

Please note that there will be a feed stop on the 100km and a water stop on the 50km. Drinks and snacks will be available at the end of each route.

Cyclists aged between 16 and 18 years can only enter the 50 km route and will require a completed parental consent form . ( will be sent to the applicants following registration with Eventbrite)

All cyclists are required to wear a cycling helmet.
