Event Summary

Event Overview

Back again after last year's successful return, there aren’t many better incentives to get out on your bike than the Land of Hops & Glory cycle sportive, taking place on Sunday 28th April 2019.

This fun, non-competitive ride starts and finishes at Wye Valley Brewery in Stoke Lacy. The stunning ‘Full Pint’ & 'Half Pint' routes wind themselves around quiet Herefordshire lanes, taking in views of Hay Bluff, the distant Welsh mountains and many of the region’s reknowned hop farms. For 2019 we have modified the routes in order to cut out some slightly busier sections of road that were used in previous years and to give you an even better ride experience to take away with you.

The routes will also take you towards the Malvern Hills, the inspiration behind many of the works by composer Edward Elgar – not least of which being the rousing Land of Hope & Glory.

On completion of the ride, you can refuel with the help of locally produced food and drink, and once again receive a unique memento of the day.

The organisers look forward to welcoming riders to this event and should you have any questions or queries please do not hesitate to contact us.

Happy cycling.
