About the Event

Info for Riders

The Yorkshire Regional Road Race Championships will be held on Sunday 19th August on the Penny Pot circuit near Harrogate. The format will follow recent years with the Junior and Veteran Men tackling 5 laps (55 miles) running together starting at 10:00am followed 5 minutes later by the Junior and Senior women's race which will again run together and over 4 laps (45 miles). The men's Elite race will start at 2:00pm and will take in 6 laps totalling 78 miles.

Yorkshire Regional Road Race Championships, a race steeped in history that always produces a worthy winner. This years circuit combines exposed and quiet roads which invite the aggressive style of racing that has seen a long list of legendary victors.

Our first race of the day comprises of Yorkshires Junior riders racing the circuit with the Masters C+ Category riders. Yorkshires female riders are given a stand alone race which is open to all categories, from 4th category through to Elite.

The Men's Elite race sees some of the regions stalwarts lining up against pro riders and the next generation of emerging talent. Yorkshire has long held a reputation of producing world class cyclists and the strength in depth of each race is becoming stronger each year, so we can expect a day of exciting racing.

The event is online entry only and there will be no entries on day as it is a championship event. Riders must display the Yorkshire region on their Race Licence. There is no day licence facility for Regional Championships. If your entry doesn't fit this criteria, your entry will not be accepted.
