Event Summary

Event Overview

Back in 2018,  Evesham CycleFest aims to be a totally inclusive celebration of cycling for everyone.

CycleFest is run by cyclists, for cyclists, and supports local good causes as well as funding cycling initiatives locally. 2017 allowed us to fund women only cycle training, with 30 ladies getting going, a cycle recycling scheme getting kids on bikes, and signposting local routes.

In 2018 we'll be supporting the Tracey Sollis Leukaemia Trust, a local charity who fund research, equipment and support in the fight against leukaemia.

The Sportives offer challenging 43, 78 or 101 mile routes, showcasing the best the Vale can offer - classic Cotswold climbs, amazing views and beautiful villages.

If you've never cycled the Vale before, or think you know it all, you're in for a treat!

Why not make a weekend of it, and bring the whole family? There's something for everyone at CycleFest, from the smallest rider upwards, or take advantage of our town centre location to enjoy Evesham. On Saturday, MTB racing will be at The Valley, Evesham where you can visit the new Boardman Performance centre.

If you have any questions, or need help in accessing our events, please get in touch. We aim to be totally inclusive and will try our very best to make it possible for any rider to take part.

About CEV - we exist to promote cycling and cyclists in the Vale. CEV aims to get more people cycling, and to make sure the infrastructure is there to keep people cycling.

About the Event

Info for Riders

The "Frolic" route takes in the famous Saintbury climb, and then is beautiful ride on a rolling landscape through some of the Vale's prettiest villages. If hills are an issue for you, the 'Flat Frolic' takes out the big climb, but is as equally attractive.

The "Romp" route has the challenging climbs of Salter's Lane and Saintbury, and then takes you on a tour of the Vale, with spectacular views.

The Evesham 101 is the big challenge, but should be a great ride after the climbs at the start. You'll go right round the Vale, taking in some lesser known areas and passing the Capability Brown landscape around Croome.

There is one feedstop on the short, 2 on the medium and 3 on the long, though there is also plenty of opportunities to stop elsewhere should you wish as you'll be going past lots of great cycle friendly cafes.

Riders with disabilities are very welcome to participate, but please contact the organisers to let us know of any requirements you have.

The event will have chip timing, fully stocked feedstations (including at the end), free gels and energy drinks from High 5, free parking and medals for all entrants.

There will also be an event village with family activities, Shopping stalls and cycling events for children.
