Event Summary

Event Overview

Join us for the 4th edition of a road cycling challenge across the Ayrshire Alps Cycle Park.

There will be two ride options, starting and finishing in Kirkmichael. This is a non-competitive ride with a social focus and a challenging but hugely scenic route.

The Ayrshire Alps Friendly is a great opportunity to ride and socialise with cyclists from across Ayrshire and beyond.

100km

The 100km route heads west to the climb of Blackie’s Brae, then crosses back via Glenginnet and the slopes of Glenalla. Onto the big daddy of the ‘Nic O Balloch’. A feed stop will be provided before riders head onto the shallow slopes of Tairlaw Shalloch. riders are then rewarded with a 5mile descent towards Straiton before the final categorised climb of Largs.

60km

The 60km follows most the route of the 100km, but skips the climbs of Glenginnet, Glenalla and Largs.

This is a low cost Sportive at £15, with a food stop on both routes and marshals on a fully signed course.

In 2016 and 2017 the event sold out well before the closing date so please book now to avoid disappointment.
