Event Overview

An end of season classic is born, a cross county sportive passing the regions finest landmarks with stunning coastal roads, challenging Dartmoor ascents and the most beautiful views of the South West.

The perfect way to end your season, a unique tour setting off from Plymouth and crossing the iconic Tamar Suspension Bridge into Cornwall, speed through the peaceful and rolling countryside of the Rame Peninsula and take in the beach and ocean views at Whitsand Bay as you head towards the UNESCO World Heritage Site at Gunnislake.  Cross back into Devon taking in an ‘alpine like’ climb through the woods, and drift back down into the ancient town of Tavistock before leading up one of the top 100 climbs the UK to the highest village on Dartmoor and home to the notorious Victorian prison in Princetown, for deserved refreshments (don’t worry it’s not in the prison).

For those wishing to get a further taste of Dartmoor, the Extreme route takes you through the idyllic Postbridge, skims the top of Haytor (twice the finish of a ‘Tour of Britain’ stage) and pass through the quaint village of Widecombe-in-the-Moor, but you won’t have time for a cream tea!

Both routes will finish their ride with an exhilarating descent leading off Dartmoor and back to our host village in Central Park, Plymouth and finish with a complimentary drink from Dartmoor Brewery.

Both routes are challenging, but for most riders it is an opportunity to break new personal barriers with exceptional ascents, rolling descents and a choice of either the standard 70+ miles or break the century with the extreme 100+ miles of pure cycling adrenaline.
