About the Event

Info for Riders

Affectionately known as 'Scotland in Miniature', Arran offers an incredible variety of scenery - mountains, woodlands, beaches and outlying islands - making it undoubtedly one of Scotland's most spectacular cycling destinations. There is a striking contrast of rolling countryside in the south and mountainous landscapes in the north, including Arran's highest peak Goatfell.

The Arran Sportive will not only provide you with an abundance of stunning island landscapes and nature, but the fast flowing roads, lung busting climbs and exhilarating descents will ensure you will have an unforgettable day in the saddle.

The island is easily accessible from the mainland by ferry with short ferry crossings from Ardrossan and Claonaig in Kintyre. Due to limited parking available in Brodick, it is recommended that participants leave their cars on the mainland and board the ferry as passenger only. Pleaese note there is a secure bag drop available at the Events HQ and Registration in Ormidale Sports Pavilion. Shower facilities are also available.

Ride for Charity

If you would like to actively raise funds for Ocean Youth Trust Scotland you are entiled to a reduced entry fee of £25 (a minimum sponsorship of £50 is required and this must be paid to the charity no later than 4 weeks after the event).
