Event Overview

On Saturday June 10th , Full Gas Cycling and members of the Hillingdon Cycle Circuit User Group will be hosting their first Air Ambulance Day, with all proceeds going to London’s Air Ambulance.

London’s Air Ambulance is a charity which relies almost entirely on donations. It currently costs approximately £6 million per year to operate the service, which delivers an advanced trauma team to critically injured people in London 24/7, using a helicopter by day and rapid response cars by night or in adverse weather conditions.

As cyclists and road users we are acutely aware of the tremendous work they do and of the need to support this life-saving service.  The team has treated over 40,000 patients to date.

Assisted by British Cycling’s Central Region and the generosity of London Nordic Skiers and Westerley Time Trialists (who are providing marshals and loaning us their transponder system) Air Ambulance Day will be a day of fun for everyone.

The day incorporates the Hillingdon Slipstreamers LAPATHON (ideal for the time-trialists amongst you) and two Regional C+ categorised circuit races hosted by Full Gas Cycling.

  • 3rd/4th Cat Men - 11.30am (1 hour)
  • E123 Cat Men - 2.30pm (90 mins)

Refreshments will be provided by the Minet Ladies Club.
