2018 Final Brecon Beast

Offroad Endurance , Powys – Sunday, 09 Sep 2018

Event Summary

Event Overview

We are grateful for all of those who have supported the event since 2002 and, in entering this final event, you will have contributed to our reaching £100,000 for charity.

If taking on some of the toughest, highest and most scenic tracks and trails found in the Brecon Beacons is your choice of fun then the Brecon Beacons Beast is the mountain bike endurance event for you.

We offer you a choice of a LONG and a SHORT routes with the shorter route sharing the same course as the longer route for most of it’s duration. The distances may vary from year to year but they are approximately 90k & 60k respectively. The choice is yours but, either way, the event will put your biking skills and endurance to the test.

Much of the route follows by-ways and bridleways across open mountainside but some sections include forestry and cross private land which it is not possible to ride at other times of the year. To make it even more worthwhile for those taking on the challenge, all profit is donated to local charities - The total donated to date amounts to £97,760. Your efforts go to help others in need.

So if you think you're up to the challenge and want to support some fantastic causes, why not come and tackle the Beast.

"Give her a go - she'll tame you or beat you".
