HSBC UK Go-Ride Holiday Coaching Camps offer training and education dedicated to specific levels of rider over a range of disciplines. Camps are available at two levels.

If your child is new to cycling or not a regular at a club or races then the beginner’s camps are for them. These offer the participant a chance to develop and become proficient at a range of core cycling and bike handling techniques that will prepare them for their first club session or race.

If your child has experience of racing and is a Go-Ride Club regular then there are advanced camps. There will be the chance to improve on the skills developed at their club as well as look at techniques across disciplines that will progress your child to the next level of their cycling journey

About the Event

Info for Riders

Level of camp - This camp is aimed at beginner to advanced riders. Riders will be split into ability groups on the day. ALL RIDERS MUST BE ABLE TO RIDE A BIKE. 

Suitable for - 6 to 16 year olds. Bikes must be free wheel.

Cycling disciplines covered -  Track and Road (done on the outdoor velodrome at Halesowen)

What to expect - These sessions will cover core Track and Road techniques, such as starts, cornering, gear selection, group riding, pace judgement, moving around on the bike and many others.

Please bring - A working bike with slick tyres, helmet, gloves, packed lunch, snacks, plenty of drinks, suncream, waterproofs, spare dry kit, puncture repair kit or spare inner tubes.

Session times - 10am until 2pm. Please arrive at least 10 minutes before to allow for sign on.

Sign on - This will be done near the track entrance. Cost -  Free for Halesowen members, members must book through louisejames@britishcycling.org.uk, £5 for British Cycling members, £7.50 for none British Cycling members.
