Wheelbase North East would like to invite you to a mountain bike ride and BBQ in the awesome Hamsterley Forest, County Durham.

With three rides planned for a steady tootle, a fun challenge or a serious test. All rides will head out from Danny Hart’s Descend Bike Park, Hamsterley to tackle the surrounding forest and moorland.

On your return you’ll be treated to a fully catered professional BBQ from the guys at Oakhouse Grill, plus liquid nectar from Darlington based Rocket Town Brewery.

Route 1: Beginners – steady

Approx. 10 miles

A mix of fire road and smooth running single track, a great way to do some non-technical miles in a lovely part of the world.

Route 2: Intermediate - best suited to a more confident active rider

Approx.15 miles

Work that suspension and build up a proper appetite for the BBQ. Some testing climbs and challenging technical bits.

Route 3: Expert - suited seasoned experienced riders, or those that race Enduro

Approx. 25 miles
