Coupar Angus Cycling Festival - Summer Cyclo-Cross (Cancelled)

Cyclo-Cross , Coupar Angus – Monday, 12 Jun 2017

Event Summary

This event has been cancelled

Event Overview

The Coupar Angus Cycling Festival. Now in it's 4th year of running and we want to get more people cycling than ever before we also didn't see many Cyclo-Cross races in Scotland in the summer so we thought we would start with an evening of Summer Cyclo-Cross fun in Coupar Angus at our exciting venue which will offer a variety of usual grassy flat bits with interesting climbs and descents to spice it up.

It is a fairly laid back format. As it stands we are using volunteer marshals with stop watches to do the timing and having fairly small race categories to easily manage the categories.

If you have kids wanting to race (U16) then make sure they go along to the Cycling Festival Launch event in Larghan Park on the 10th of June where there will be dirt crits and all sorts of races and compeitions. Due to the time restrictions doing it in an evening we will have a Youth category of 16-18 year olds, an open senior race and a womens and veteran race.

If you are new to cyclo cross and are wanting to get into it a bit more then this is the event for you. Nothing too serious but great practice way ahead of the official cyclo-cross season.

Registration : 5pm - 6pm

Youth Race will start 5.30 pm

Women and Vets at 6.15pm

Open Senior at 7.15pm

Podiums : 8.30pm

Please follow signage on caddam road to event start line.

Please park appropiately on Caddam road and do not park over driveways and on junctions.

Limited parking at the Coupar Angus Cemetery.
