5 Mile Family Ride (starts at 10:15)

Aimed at young riders, families and beginners this lovely ride takes in the town centre on closed roads, Wallingford Bridge, the meadows of Crowmarsh, the Castle Meadows and a sneak peak of the National Junior Road Race base camp at Wallingford School. Riders will enjoy a mixture of paths and roads all well sign posted and with lots of smiley stewards to assist on the way.

11 Mile Mountain Bike Ride (starts at 9:30 am)

The 10 Mile Family Ride explores some fun, safe cycle paths around the Wallingford area. It will involve some gentle climbing and descents but will not involve any technical riding. It will be a waymarked route that starts and finishes on the Kinecroft, starting at 9.30am. The route will take you through the villages of Mongewell, North Stoke and Little Stoke, up a steady ascent up Cobblers Hill where you will see some lovely views of Wallingford and the Thames Valley, returning to the Kinecroft via a speedy descent down Constitution Hill.

This route is a fairly straightforward course with an elevation gain 272 ft. The course heads into the Chilterns, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.  It includes bridleways, byways, and a couple of quiet country lanes, taking you through rolling foot hills and wooded areas.

You will also get a chance if you are lucky to see the peleton from National Junior Men’s Road Race which crosses the route!

This will be supported by marshals and finishers will get a goodie bag and will be able to download a certificate. After the ride we have free secure bike parking for you to enjoy the rest of festival.

20 Mile Mountain Bike Ride (starts at 9:15 am)

Our 20mile MTB /CX sportive offers a chance to ride some of Oxfordshire’s finest country trails in the Chiltern AONB (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty).

It starts in Wallingford and after crossing the picturesque River Thames Bridge you’ll be thrown straight into a wooded trail within the Chilterns AONB.

This 20mile MTB /CX route after a gentle start will thrust you up a steep climb into the heart of the amazing Chiltern Beech Tree Woods behind the idyllic villages of Checkendon and Stoke Row. After exploring these woods you’ll be refreshed at the food stop conveniently located at the Cherry Tree public house.  You’ll then be mostly descending back to Wallingford and will be able to admire some terrific panoramas over the Thames Valley.

This will be supported by marshals and finishers will get a goodie bag and will be able to download a certificate. After the ride we have free secure bike parking for you to enjoy the rest of festival.

The 20mile MTB /CX route is a moderately challenging course with an elevation gain 1,265 ft. It is suitable for weekend off roaders.

The course heads into the Chilterns an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.  It includes bridleways, byways and a couple of quiet country lanes, taking you through rolling foot hills and deeply wooded areas. Keep your eyes peeled for wildlife and the Checkendon Cheetah, a phantom wild cat purported to live in the woods!
