Ride for Ryder – The Sportive cycling event is back for 2017, its 29th year of cycling and fundraising for Sue Ryder Leckhampton Court Hospice.

Supported by British Cycling our Sportive offers a fun, non-competitive event for all with signed routes taking you through Gloucestershire's glorious countryside. Whichever route you choose you can also be sure that you’re supporting your only inpatient hospice in Gloucestershire!

With all proceeds going to Sue Ryder Leckhampton Court Hospice to help provide incredible care for people living with life-limiting conditions across Gloucestershire why not sign up with friends, family or colleagues and make it a ride to remember!

Please note Children must be over the age of 14yrs on Event Day to take part, this includes on the day sign up's. 

All riders under the age of 16 must be accompanied by and adult (21 yrs +) on the day of the event, as well as completing a parental consent form.

Event packs will be sent to you by email and not post so please look out for relevant information in your inbox after signing up. 

This year all riders raising over £100 will be awarded a Sue Ryder cycling jersey.

130km ride departs at 08.30hrs, 90km ride at 09.00hrs and the Family ride at 09.30hrs. Car parking open at 07.00hrs and registration open from 07.30hrs. The venue and car park will close at 16.30hrs. 

£10 for the 35km or £25 for either the 90km or 130km

Starting and finishing from top class sporting facilities at Dean Close school in Cheltenham we’re offering a choice of three sportive challenges – a 35km route (new), 90km route for novice cyclists and 130km route offering a challenge for more experienced cyclists. (14yrs+ only event). Current early bird entry available until Monday 17th April. 

Your registration fee will include:

  • Changing facilities, toilets and showers available at Start/Finish
  • Limited onsite parking (arrive early to avoid dissapointment)
  • Medical and Mechanical support at (Dean Close / Feed Station)
  • A food voucher for a complimentary post ride hot dish (ONLINE ENTRIES ONLY, available for on the day registrations at an extra cost)
  • Feed station (for 90km and 130km routes) and water stations
  • Prepare for the event with RideSmart
