Event Overview

This new sportive for 2016 is part of the Road2Recovery charity fundraising events organised by Claire Lomas to raise vital funds for the Nicholls Spinal Injury Foundation.

Starting from Eye Kettleby Lakes near Melton Mowbray, the three distances will all use the same quiet roads around this beautiful part of Leicestershire & Rutland and for most of the time you will see little traffic.

This new event promises to be a fun & friendly day with something to offer every type of rider.

Info for Riders

Online entry through British Cycling, the sportive will start and finish at Eye Kettleby Lakes (LE14 2TN), the routes will be well signposted, avoiding busy roads with very little traffic for the vast majority.

The routes will have ample water stations and marshals where neccesary. It is not a race so timing chips will not be available but you are welcome to record your own efforts on your phone or GPS device.

Under 16's must be accompanied by an adult and Under 18's must submit the parental consent form.

At the finish we will have a hog roast and drinks available and your entry fee includes a voucher for a hog roast/hot dog and drink as well as insurance through British Cycling.

All runners will receive a goody bag but those entering before 7th August will also receive a signed copy of Finding my Feet by Claire Lomas worth £9.95.
