This years charity cycle sportive is in aid of Acorns Children's Hospice. The route start from Worcester and delves deep into the heart of the Cotswolds finishing in Bath.

The Cotswolds has amazingly scenic countryside and picturesque villages. This makes for the perfect setting for a days cycling in this stunning sportive. True testing climbs are matched by miles of rolling rural roads in a perfect mix for a day’s riding.

Soon after you set off from Worcester Warriors, you’ll be eased into the event with winding roads through Pershore and Evesham. You will be faced with one of the major climbing tests of the event, Dover’s Hill, as you enter the Cotswolds.

As you cycle further south there are couple more climbs with a quick descent into Stow-on-the-Wold. The route shouldn’t trouble seasoned riders, but the odd ascent here and there could catch you out. Make sure to catch your breath and check out the magnificent surrounding views as you crest the climb.

It’s plain sailing until the next big ascent as you can concentrate on whiling away the miles and taking in the surrounding scenery at the same time. Sure enough, as inviting descents come, uphill challenges will lie in wait as you’ll be out of the saddle again soon after to tackle Lansdown Hill before descending into Bath.

It will definitely be one of the most spectacular sportives of the year!
