Event Overview

The Bike for Bucks Challenge is a charity bike ride spanning over 43 miles. The ride takes you around the stunning scenery of the feet of the Blackdown and Quantock Hills. It is a great ride for beginners and experienced riders alike taking you around the rolling hills of Somerset. Either plod along at your own pace or go for it and try and get the best time possible! 

The money raised is split 50/50 with Taunton Rotary Clubs Charity (Children's Hospice South West) and Luke Buckinghams charities (Bloodwise and Anthony Nolan) who was an inspiration in the sporting community and in college sport. All riders welcome to support a great cause and have a great day!

Come and join the Bike for Bucks Challenge.This 43 mile ride has something for everyone. Great for beginner cyclists and enough of a challenge for experienced cyclists. What is better than Cycling around the beautiful Somerset countryside on a Sunday morning and raising money for a worthy charity at the same time. The money raised will go 50/50 to Luke’s and Taunton Rotary Club charities which are Bloodwise, Anthony Nolan and Childrens Hospice South West. The ride will start and finish at the Genesis Centre, Somerset College, Heron Drive, Taunton, TA1 5AX. Once registered on the day, cyclists may start their ride between 9.00 and 11.00. Parking spaces will be available at Somerset College. All cycle routes are colour-coded and well marked. Maps will be available for collection on the day. Water stations will be available on the route. A list of emergency contact phone numbers will be available on the day Volunteer marshals (with mobile phones), the St John Ambulance and a bicycle repair technician.&a
