This year Stockton will host the National Road Championships where the Nation’s best riders, with all the biggest starts competing for the Time Trail and Men’s and Ladies Road Race titles!

The Sportive rides on many of the roads which are used in the competitive events and who knows, riders from teams such as Sky will be out training to be ready for Sunday’s Road Race Champs.

Any of the 4 routes available are stunning. Depart the established event site of Stockton Riverside on closed roads and ride away from the urban area escorted by motor bikes like a star in the Tour de France!

Every turn is signposted, there are motor bikes and service cars out on the course to keep you safe and help resolve any issues. First aid is available on all the routes and we have regular feed stops and water stations along the way.

Quickly you are on Country Roads heading deep into North Yorkshire and some wonderful scenery, riding down quiet lanes with 100’s of riders of all abilities and admiring this great part of the World.

The “SPIN” ride is mostly flat, aimed at families and people who are new to Sportive riding. You still enjoy quiet roads in great scenery but the ride sin’t too challenging. You can take as long as you want to ride it, we have people on all kinds of bikes in the SPIN. It’s a great fun start to Sportive riding.

Those looking for some more miles and serious climbing can take on the new “SPORT” route, at 50 miles and 3,500 feet of climbing it’s a perfect route to see the Countryside and test your riding ability.

More experienced riders can enjoy the “CHALLENGE” route which goes deep into the North Yorks Moors and really does test you with 6,568 feet of climbing! We see some wonderful Moor land and take in some lovely Villages on this route.

For the die hard experienced Sportive rider we have the toughest ride there is “LE TOUR DE MOOR”. Over 100 miles and 11,000 feet of climbing. Riders return declaring it the toughest ride they have event done “harder than the Fred Witton” many of them say!
