Event Overview

The Eastern Counties Cycling Association are hosting a track cycling championships in 2016. The event will be open to first claim members of affiliated clubs only. Prize trophies will be awarded in the following categories

  • Senior Men
  • Senior Women
  • Juniors
  • Youths A & B

The event will include the Team Pursuit Championships, and also a 3 race Omnium to decide the overall Champions in each category. Within the senior men's omnium the 5 mile scratch race winner will also be awarded the ECCA 5 Mile Champion Trophy as well as points counting toward the Omnium.

Event starts at 4pm and runs until close at 10pm.

Entry fees;

  • Senior, male & female Omnium; £20 per rider
  • Team Pursuit, £20 per team of four regardless of team make-up
  •  Junior and Youth A & B Omniums; £10 per rider.

Online entry only.

Senior men's Omnium;

  • 40 lap scratch race (including Men's 5 mile championship)
  • Elimination race
  • Flying 200m TT

All other omnium's;

  • 25 lap scratch race
  • Elimination race
  • Flying 200m TT

All riders must be UK Track Accreditted.

Entries for the Omnium are separate from the Team Pursuits. Please select carefully the correct choice when entering; 

Team Pursuit; All four members must be first claim in the same club but the team may be composed of any category of rider. So, for example, a team may be all male, all female, or a mixture, and may include youth and junior riding in the same team as seniors.

Omnium; depending on the number of entries in each race it is possible two or more age groups and genders will be riding on the track at the same time. Points however will be awarded for each group riding at any given time.
