We have had a few questions about the entry criteria of requiring silver membership for the Scottish National Team Time Trial Championships.

Thank you to those who have highlighted the confusion with the technical regulations, we refer you to P93 of the British Cycling Handbook Technical Regulation 22.15.

22.15 With the exception of National Championships the minimum licence status criteria for participants in Time Trials and Team Time Trials shall be that of Provisional. The minimum membership status shall be that of Silver.

Where the regulation refers to national championships it is referencing the British National Championships. Whilst we consider the Scottish Championships a national title they are for the purposes of the BC tech regs a regional championship and so entrants are required to have a silver membership for this event.

(For Information 17.6.1 National Championships shall be open to Silver and Gold category members of the British Cycling Federation who are citizens of the United Kingdom and dependent Territories, the Isle of Man, or the Channel Islands. With the exception of the Cycle Speedway Championships, competitors must hold a valid licence showing the UCI prefix “GBR” and issued at least 28 days prior to the event. If resident in another Country they must hold a United Kingdom passport and must not, in the same year, have competed in the National Championship of any other U.C.I. affiliated National Federation.)

Start is adjacent to north end of Heatherhall Woods on B937, proceeds north to junction with A91, turns left and proceeds west on A91 to Milnathort, turns at roundabout and proceeds east on A91 to Melville Lodges roundabout, turns and proceeds west on A91 to junction with B937, turns left and proceeds south on B937 to finish approx 500m north of start.
