Event Overview
The challenge takes place on Saturday 4th July 2015, all routes start and finish at Dean Barwick Primary School in Witherslack. The course is identical to that used in 2014.
Maps will be displayed on the day at registration. There are checkpoints around the course and one refreshment stop but all riders are advised to carry sufficient food and water. There will be food available throughout the day for all riders and spectators.

About the Event
Info for Riders
25km Challenge: Starting from Dean Barwick School at 11am this route twists and turns around the village for approximately 25km. Although there are no single major climbs the nature of the terrain means over 600m of ascent (and descent of course!) 40km Challenge: Starting from Dean Barwick School at 11am this route ventures further into the wilds around Witherslack (and beyond). It notches up approximately 40km and 1200m of climbing and descending. It is a good route for experienced riders and those wishing to step up to longer distances. All adult entries only £18, U16s just £5, whatever the distance! This year’s entry fee includes food and refreshments at the finish! Online entries are encouraged, please go to www.deanbarwick.cumbria.sch.uk for details. If you are paying online for entry we will email a form and all details to you once payment has been received please do not worry, we try to run a paperless entry system and keep everything as simple as possible so you can just enjoy your day.
