Plymstock Oaks Mountain Bike Race

MTB XC , Plymouth – Sunday, 12 Jul 2015

Event Summary

Event Overview

This is the second race being held at our Rugby Club and will coincide with our Oaks Big Weekend.  The Weekend is free apart from race entry.  It includes free camping, a live band playing on the Saturday night which again is free. On the day of the race there will be a host of stalls and attractions as this is traditionally our Summer Fayre.  We now have the use of our new clubhouse, function room, Bar and Cafe

The aim of the Big weekend is to have family fun and for those of you who are not Rugby orientated we are good at that.  The Mountain Bike race is an added attraction and will intertwine with the Fayre and campers.  The prime viewing points will be close at hand to see Mum or Dad fall off or the Kids wizz by.

The course will not be on the flat rugby pitches as you might have expected.  We are lucky that the area surrounding the pitches are exciting to ride on and with the help of British Cycling, experts from the Bike Celler shop and  local cycling group the Pilgrim Flyers we have designed a course that will be exciting for everyone.

Refreshments are available on the day from the Bar and the Cafe and if riders would like to prctice before the event they are welcome.
