Rider Development Session - Lee Valley Velodrome Madison Session

Go-Ride , London – Sunday, 21 Jun 2015

Event Summary

Event Overview

These sessions are for senior riders and advanced youths (Youth A racing riders only).

Due to limited avaliability and the way they are funded, these sessions are reserved for riders who are members of clubs in the South East region. Any remaining places will be opened up to riders from other regions 1 week before the session date. Please note, unsuccessful entries may lose their £1 admin fee.

Madison experience is not essential, although every rider must be accredited to race at either Lee Valley or Herne Hill. Riders must also have their own bikes.

Madison Intermediate group: It is expected that riders are confident with madison slings in a simple group. You will progress to multiple changes in a faster, larger group.

Madison novice group: It is expected that riders are experienced indoor track riders. You will be coached on madison hand position and sling technique. You will practice slinging other riders at slow speed, progressing up to madison changes in a comfortable speed, small group.

Track Experience Group: A general track skills and drills session. RIders do not need track accreditaiton for this group.
