Event Summary

Event Overview

This is a 100 km / 62 mile Sportive on more of our favourite Kent back-roads.  A carefully chosen route with rider-friendly scenic roads, short steep climbs followed by relaxing long descents, hardly any A-roads and great views.

Attractions include descending the North Downs to Heaverham, apple orchards and oast houses, the fabulous 3km long descent from Mereworth Woods down to Goose Green, picturesque Yalding and the bridge across the river Beault, the sharp climb up Barn Hill (you will appreciate it!), the descent and crossing over the river Medway at East Farleigh including one of Kent's last man-operated gated level-crossings.  There will be a delicious mid-point ploughman's lunch at East Malling Village Hall, where tired legs can recover before the challenging final  50 kilometres, which include crossing the Medway (again) at historic Aylesford with its ancient Friary, the dedicated cycle way over the spectacular HS1-M2 bridge over the Medway Estuary, the Dickensian village of Cobham, and the traditional last climb of Billet Hill before tea, cakes and medals back at Stansted Village Hall

The ride is ideally located, just 5 minutes from the M20 / M26 intersection and within easy access from London.

The ride starts and finishes at Stansted Village Hall.

Full back up is provided with ample free parking. A Ploughman’s lunch and an Afternoon tea and cakes at the finish are provided free of charge.
