Event Summary

Event Overview

Now in its 10th year, the Hampshire Hilly Hundred is one of the senior UK cyclosportives. It remains an event organised by cyclists for cyclists, pure and simple. The course has been refined over consecutive seasons and offers the super challenging HHH SuperMax route (approx 100 miles), and the still testing HHH Midi (approx 76 miles). The well signed and equally well thought-out course follows roads with amazingly little traffic and leads riders through some superb Hampshire countryside that is at its very best in early May.

About the Event

Info for Riders

As you'd expect from its name, the HHH has plenty of hills: the long and steady type as well as the short and steep. But the routes aren't totally relentless - there are stretches where you can enjoy spinning along. Be assured, there are no impossible 'cliff-face' climbs - though admittedly a few riders had to walk the steepest section of Butser Hill when it was introduced in 2013. The HHH will catch out those who underestimate it, as it has more metres of ascent (and descent) than most UK sportives. Training is definitely required for this one! We are delighted to be based once more at Sparsholt College, near Winchester, with its excellent facilities, including on-site parking close to the Start/Finish, hot refreshments, lounge area, showers and changing rooms. We provide Third Party event insurance, first-aid and medical cover, full route signage, printed route cards, feed stations, disposable chips and mat timing, mechanical assistance, on-course photographer, and much more.
