Road , Gainsborough – Sunday, 24 May 2015

Event Summary

Event Overview

The Trent Valley Road Club, Early Season Classic is a Regional B, Cat 3 / 4 Road Race being hosted by the Gainsborough cycling club Trent Valley Road Club.

We have secured an event sponsorship arrangement with Planet X bikes with each participating rider being awarded a Planet X bag of tricks!

The aim of the event is to promote road racing to new comers and give riders the opportunity to race for the all important BC points to enable them to move up the categorisation system.

The course is a pan flat (but windy) 5 mile circuit on quiet Lincolnshire Roads (Think Belgium). Travelling in a anticlockwise direction the riders will negotiate three junctions on each lap, only one of which is a give way that will be marshalled to control traffic.

The distance will be approximately six, five mile laps to give a total distance of 30 miles.

The race HQ is at Morton village hall in Morton, Gainsborough, a short distance from the start line.

A prize fund will be held for first, second and third place dependant on attendance.
