Event Overview

This is an 88 mile Sportive event in the lanes of Essex.  The sportive starts near Maldon and heads east towards Peldon and Abberton Reservoir then northwest towards Finchingfield before heading over North Hill on the way to the finish. We are running a 25 mile event for those who want the enjoyment of the lanes of Essex without the distance! There will be plenty of hot food at the finish.

Enter now to ride the Sportive on the roads used by the 2014 Tour de France through the roads of Essex.

Info for Riders

The Summer Breeze Sportive and Charity Bike Ride are on Sunday 19th July 2015. Once again, at the request of returning riders, we intend keeping the routes more or less the same as in previous years and after the success of running the event from our base last year the start and finish for the ride will again be at Plantation Hall, Colchester Road, Heybridge, near Maldon. The 88 mile long Sportive route starts at 9am and has an entry fee of £20. The shorter 25 mile route starts at 10am with an entry fee of £15. The route follows some of the roads used by the Tour de France last July. As in previous years, there will be hot food and refreshments back at base for riders and their supporters.
