Event Overview

The Beacon Rouler has three great routes of vaious distances and difficulty to test riders ability and fitness levels on the bike.

The clue is in the name as they say with the Beacon Rouleur ramping up the pain threshold of most riders, as all route options climb the famous climb of Ditchling Beacon within the first 5 miles.

There will be some that will be thinking of walking when they get to the Beacon,  but with fresh legs most should get up this testing climb with the confidence that things are flatter for the rest of the ride at least for the Challenge and Tour route riders.

Riders can increase their average speed to potentially gain a gold level standard ride on the flatter parts of the course after Ditchling Beacon but those riding the Classic route should be aware that there are some shorter testing hills to drain the legs of any energy around the village of Brighling, halfway into the Classic Route.

Ample feed stations are available on this Cyclosportive

The Three Routes are :-

Classic Route 89 miles

Challenege Route 63 miles

Tour Route 50 miles

With all the usual great support from SRS Events for entrants this is another cycling event not to miss.

British Cycling memebers can get 10% off the Standard entry price when they enter via the British Cycling entry page.

All riders taking part receive a Continental 24 Race 700c inner tube rrp £5.99

Plus all entrants will automatically be entered in to a draw to win a carbon road bike from ORRO BIKES worth over £2000.
