Event Overview

The West Riding Classic Sportif is a circular 33, 60 & 75 mile non-competitive road cycle ride over the beautiful hills and valleys of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. This is a truly beautiful ride with something for everyone including first time sportive riders, intermediate riders and serious athletes.

Rough Rider produce safe, relaxing and beautiful supported cycle rides. Whether it’s your first ride outside of the city centre commute, or you are a seasoned sportive rider, all our routes our clearly sign posted, are safely managed and include feed stations half way around the course that provide free nourishment and refreshment.

The West Riding Classic, 18th April 2015 – This 33, 65 and 75 mile sportive takes on Yorkshire’s most iconic roads and climbs in beautiful scenery, with 2200m of climbing on the extra long route and renowned for the best feed stations in the UK. First event in 2011. “The West Riding Classic is destined to become just that – a classic event and a must-do on the sportive calendar, exploiting the Yorkshire Dales’ finest cycling roads and offering a unique, friendly, authentic experience”. Start times, from the Village Hall, Cross Haw Lane, Clapham LA2 8EQ Extra long route - 8an - 9:30am Long route - 8am - 10am Short route 9:30 - 11am Raise money for the Cave Rescue Organisation. £1.50 from every ticket sold for the West Riding Classic goes to help support the local Cave Rescue Organisation
