Event Summary

Event Overview

Clever people such as Rocket Scientists and Plumbers have worked out that you are at your fittest on October 12th each year. So why not use all that summer fitness to ride our Imperial 100.

Not super hilly but testing never the less. The ride starts with a trip over the Mendips and down the Iconic Cheddar George. A bit of relief for the legs as you cross the Somerset Levels through Wedmore and on to Bruton, climb up King Alfreds tower where magic flapjack awaits you at the feeding station. Onwards to the Wyle Valley and Salisbury Plain, through Warminister and on to the Mendips to the finish via Jack and Jill hill.

For those of you who want a more modest ride we run the Mendip Imperial 50 at the same time. The route takes you through Wells, on to Bruton and the feeding station at King Alfreds Tower. The return route skirts Frome, and back to the Mendips to the finish.

We encourage you all to enter the Imperial 100, especially if its your first, and we give you the option on the morning of the event to swap to the Imperial 50 if you feel the 100 is not for you.

The ride starts with a cup of tea or coffee and has a feeding station at the half way distance. The ride finishes with tea, coffee and cakes. All this is included in the entrance fee.

We can't promise good weather but I am sure that you will enjoy a good ride in the company of many friendly riders.

For all riders the following facilities will be available:

Parking for all riders

Changing rooms, toilets and showers

Refreshments at the start

Refreshments at the finish including cakes

Signed route

Emergency backup

Finishing certificate.

ALL THIS FOR ONLY £8.00
