Event Overview

This end of season sportive follows on from the successful Copeland Valleys Sportive held in Whitehaven, Cumbria in June 2014

This short sportive with an approximate distance of 30 miles will see riders start and finish on Cleator Moor town square.

The 30 mile route has three short but steep climbs and is suitable for riders of all abilities

Starting at Cleator Moor town square riders head towards Keekle before following minor roads through Moor Row and Woodend to join the A5086.

After travelling through Cleator riders head into the Ennerdale Valley passing through Ennerdale Bridge and heading to the first climb at Cauda Brow. 

After descending to Kirkland riders travel to Rowrah and then onto Asby and the climb up to the summit of Steel Brow via Brownriggs

Following the road to Hensingham across Weddicar Rigg riders rejoin the main road travelling through Keekle and Cleator Moor town square before rejoining the A5086 at Warth Brow from where they head towards Frizington

After passing through Frizington riders make the clim up Steel Brow to rejoin the route above to travel back to Cleator Moor and the finish

The event has been kindly sponsored by NMP (Nuclear Management Partners) and is being supported by Cleator Moor Town Council and Copeland Borough Council
