Event Overview

The Leicester Castle Classic Sportive takes place on the morning of the 17th August and is followed in the afternoon by the Leicester Castle Classic, part of British Cycling's Elite Men's National Grand Prix series. 

All Sportive Riders will start under the official Gantry before heading out along the race circuit.  The course is an undulating 100km ride to the famous Bosworth Battle field where Richard III fought and lost his crown. 

Riders finishing before 12.20 will have the opportunity to finish under the Gantry before being directed into Bede Park, riders after this time will be directed along the Great Central Way into the Park.

Riders will be treated to a 'Pint and Pie' upon completion and can relax and watch the top professional teams compete in the Leicester Castle Classic, an exciting Kermesse style race taking place along the Mile Straight and Castle Gardens.
