Cycle Sportive , TBC – Sunday, 31 Aug 2014

Registered Sportive

Event Summary

Event Overview

Join us on our very first Ride for Autism! Jump in your saddle and take on this brand new cycling challenge for The National Autistic Society.

Starting in the historic city of Cambridge, this unique ride will take us through picturesque countryside and sleepy villages as we make our way out towards the wonderful Suffolk coastline!

Finishing at the seaside, this 85 mile* ride will also give riders the opportunity to visit our East Anglia support centre, Old Barn Cottages, which provides a range of day-time programmes for adults on the autism spectrum. Based on the outskirts of Cambridgeshire, this service is ideally located to welcome riders for a mid-morning snack stop! As well as refuelling and giving your legs a short breather, there will be the opportunity to meet some staff and those we support, and see first hand just some of the great services we are able to provide thanks to your support.

After enjoying the lovely home-made cakes and energy snacks, we’ll then continue east through west and east Suffolk as we reach our finish point by the sea! Family and friends are welcome to join us and cheer you on as you cross the finish line.
