Newport Track, Velodrome Way, Newport, South Wales, NP19 4RA Sunday 13th April 2014 Arrive 1.00pm Sort bikes, briefing, warm up. Don't be late On the track at 2.00pm sharp. Finish at - 4.00pm HIRE BIKES AT NEWPORT if you are hiring a bike the cost is £8. You will have to sort this out at reception on your arrival. The track bikes are DOLAN Pre-cursa and take LOOK KEO CLEATS or TOE STRAPS only. Bring Shoes with Look Keo cleats or trainers to get on the track. BRINGING YOUR OWN BIKE? For safety your tyres must be single compound. Dual compound tyres are not safe and you will slip. Bikes must be fixed wheel with no brakes. No Street bikes please. EQUIPMENT Helmet and gloves are mandatory. Bring your normal riding kit and wrap up warm. Cover your arms and legs - although it is an indoor track it will get cold - layer up. Have additional clothing to put on between riding and coaching sessions to stay warm. There are changing and showering facilities at the Velodrome if required.
