North Pennine Mountain Bike Marathon

Offroad Endurance , Alston – Saturday, 19 Jul 2014

Event Summary

Event Overview

Tyne Valley MTB are excited to announce One Big Ride: the inaugural North Pennines MTB Marathon.

Showcasing the best riding in the area, the highest trails in the Pennines and using paths that are not normally open to the public, this is an event that shouldn’t be missed. The event is a back-to-the-roots, Big Single Loop format taking in long grinds up landrover tracks, open moorland crossings, steep brake-burning descents and all served up with fantastic views.

There are 3 route options from the 65km monster to the 36km classic to provide a challenging and fun day’s riding for mountain bikers of all standards. Plus all the benefits you’d expect from a well organised event: rider tracking, well-stocked feed station and professional first aid support.

Post ride there will be Food, Beer and live music to help you relax and share stories of your epic day.
