Midweek MTB Madness Round 2

MTB XC , Manchester – Thursday, 05 Jun 2014

Event Summary

Event Overview

The Midweek MTB race at Chorlton Water Park is brought to you by Manchester Wheelers and Chorlton Velo.

The race will be held on the same course as last year, so a fast and whippy racing course along the banks of the Mersey and into Kenworthy Woods using as much elevation (there isn’t a great deal!) as we can. There’s good overtaking on most of the course and a decent starting straight to string things out before you hit the single track.

We will be running two races – a 25 minute Youth Race at 6.15pm and an hour’s race for Racers, Enthusiasts and Women at 7.15pm.

The race will be a staggered start with Racers setting off a minute ahead of the Enthusiasts and Women, although Women can elect to race in the Racer cat should they wish.

HQ will be by the bridge over the Mersey. Please give time for signing on.

Entry fees will be £11 pre-entries online (no postal entries) and £15 on the night. Pre-booking highly advised as we will put a limit of 100 on the main race.

Parking for the event will be at the Chorlton Water Park Car Park and surrounding roads. As ever take good care of your bike and property.  Please ride slowly and carefully past the Lake to the course area as there’s often families with small children playing there, and please be courteous to other Park users at all times, including during the race if you meet people close to/on the course.

There will be a refreshing drink for all finishers. Bring your bike and a smile!
