Event Overview

Early season 18 mile leisure ride on quiet roads starting from the new UHI Campus at Beechwood Inveness, proposed home of the North of Scotland Velodrome.  An enjoyable fitness test for all cyclists, and specifically aimed at families, older children and teens, womens' groups, fitness classes and occasional/casual riders.  Includes pitstop refreshments and complimentary use of the dedicated cycle track at the Highland Cycle Ability Centre, Cantray by Croy.  Any surplus funds will go to the velodrome Trust.

Info for Riders

The event has been cancelled - please contact the event organiser for further information. Open to riders born 2006 or earlier. A signed parental consent form will be required for all entrants aged under 18. Riders under 16 must be accompanied on the ride by a parent or guardian. Event will start promptly at 9.00am, with reception/signing on open from 8.00am. Riders must sign on to receive their event number and qualify for BC third party insurance cover. No parking permitted on the Campus, but riders can be dropped off or use adjoining safe cyclepaths. A three hour time cutoff applies to complete the ride following which riders will have the option of being uplifted by minibus or making their way home independently with all ride identification removed.
