About the Event

Info for Riders

Entries: Please give your mobile number as 'daytime phone number' as we will send ride times to you by text. In 2014 we will be running the highly successful Red Kite Ride for the third time. This sportive is based in the picturesque village of Marlow, and run by Marlow Riders cycling club. All funds raised will go to charity. We will have 50, 80 and 100 mile routes in varied countryside through Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Berkshire. All three routes go over the Chilterns and the longer route heads into the Vale of Aylesbury and up to Brill. Both routes include hills and flatter sections, so are suited to experienced riders aiming for a fast time and for riders aiming to complete a 'century' or a 'half' for the first time. We will have three feed stations with the usual energy drinks and food. The start / finish is at Marlow Sports Club which has refreshments as well as changing and shower facilities. We will have free off-road parking a short ride from the start.
