Primera Purbeck Road Race #2

Road , Wareham – Saturday, 13 Sep 2014

Event Summary

Event Overview

Primera Purbeck Road Races #1 and #2 on 13 July and 14 September 2014

Dorset Cycling Development Group are promoting two events for 2014. The first event on the 13 July follows the same format:

https://www.britishcycling.org.uk/events/details/104746/Primera-Purbeck-Road-Race-#1

Course

8.5 laps of the Creech Circuit (43 miles/72km)

We used the course twice during 2013 on Day 1 of the Local Riders Local Races 2 day and on Day 2 of the Primera Purbeck 2 day. The course has a long climb that starts at the bottom of Grange Road and terminates on the finish line just before East Creech. It is a gentle climb that steepens in the last 400m before the finish line – you will probably need the little ring for the steeper section. It is downhill back to the HQ and then flat for a mile until you turn into Grange Road.

You can view a few photos of the course with the report from last year’s Primera Purbeck 2 day which was a 2/3/4 category event:
