Welcome to the Etape de Yorkshire.

Join CFC on the 8th June 2014 as we blaze a trail over the course of the first stage of the 2014 Tour de France a month before the pro’s show us how it’s done!

A 122 mile/198km fully supported non competitive but timed sportive event following the route of the first stage of Le Tour 2014*.  The ride starts in Leeds and finishes in Harrogate.

To celebrate your achievement there will be a post ride party at the Yorkshire Showground, Harrogate finish area including , stunt bikes, music and kids fun area all included in the entry fee.

Q: What is the Etape de Yorkshire (EDY)? A: EDY is a fully loaded timed non competitive sportive event over the route of the 1st stage of the Tour de France 2014 from Leeds to Harrogate via the North Yorkshire Moors. We are planning for 1000 riders and hope the event will be fully subscribed. We will be following the route where possible and where safe to do so. Entry includes the following: Unique finishers medal Fully signed route Individual rider insurance Electronic chip timing Mechanical support Broom wagon 3 fully stocked food stops including energy products from SIS Hot food and drink at the finish Changing facilities Free car parking Kit bag transfer to the finish Freebies. Q: Who is organising the ride? A: The event is being organised by the charity Cyclists Fighting Cancer (CFC) and the Health and Social Care Information Centre (HSCIC) a government organisation aligned to the NHS and whose head office is in Leeds Centre.
