Event Overview

Hero Ride: Dawn Raid Sportive

Due to the popularity of the Dawn Raid, it will be returning as part of epic cycling event, Hero Ride that raises money for Help for Heroes! In keeping with the military tradition, the route will set off from the Help for Heroes run Recovery Centre at Tedworth House in Wiltshire, where wounded, injured and sick servicemen and women are helped with their recovery.

This 100-mile sportive will take riders through Wiltshire, Hampshire and Surrey to the iconic Box Hill, retracing the tracks of the London 2012 Olympic Road Race heroes, before taking a turn into south London and dropping to the meeting point at Blackheath Common. Here the Dawn Raid joins together with hundreds of Hero Riders coming in from all over the country before cycling into central London in a giant peloton on closed roads for the Grand Finale!
