About Ystwyth Cycling Club
Ystwyth CC has been a Welsh Cycling affiliated Go Ride Club since 2012. It has 188 active members including an extremely successful childrens set-up.
Aberystwyth Cycling Festival (Aber Cycle Fest)
Have you ever organised an event? A Time Trial, Circuit Race, Down Hill MTB Race, Hill Climb, MTB XC, Social Ride, Breeze Ride, an Audax or Sportive?
Ystwyth CC deliver all of these events and more as part of their Aberystwyth Cycle Festival. Whitch took place the first weekend in June 2019.
Ystwyth CC do alot of work with partners in order to make this event such a success; however, the club are the leading organisers for this spectacular event. Their partners include Cyngor Tref Aberystwyth Town Council, SP Energy Networks, Cambrian Tyres, Continental Tyres, Ceredigion Actif, Disability Sport Wales / Chwaraeon Anabledd Cymru and Summit Cycles.
Welsh Cycling are awarding Ystwyth CC ‘Club of the Month’ for their commitment on organising and delivering such a festival.
Event Organising is very time consuming and takes alot of hard work. Therefore, Welsh Cycling would like to recognised Ystwyth CC for doing this so well!! Diolch!
Aberystwyth Race History
The festival has been running for 9 years and we can’t wait for next year’s 10th anniversary.
Cycle racing has been run in Aberystwyth for many year and long may it continue.
Over the years the festival has grown in size to cater for all the disciplines of cycling – recreational riding to various elite races. The circuit race in the town centre is well supported by the school children within Ceredigion with their County School Championships. In recent years the Welsh Criterium Championships have been inculded as part of the festival and also a stage of the Tour Series.

Aberfest Cycle Festival invite you all for their 10th Anniversary in 2020.
Thank you to Ystwyth CC on becoming our Club of the Month, the club will automatically be entered for 'Club of the Year' Award at the Welsh Cycling Annual Awards 2019 later this year.
