Velothon Wales is back again on Sunday 9 July 2017, and needs the support of your cycling group or club.
Combining a closed road sportive alongside a UCI sanctioned professional race, this cycling sportive takes in some of South Wales' most breathtaking scenery and starts and ends in the very heart of Cardiff. Offering a challenging 140km and 100km route, Velothon Wales promises to deliver a truly spectacular cycling event.
We are looking for local cycling groups to get involved and support Velothon Wales 2017 by volunteering at one of three feed stations around the course, in Usk, Pontnewynydd Pontypool and Caerphilly Mountain.
Volunteers would be undertaking a vital role in ensuring riders stay well fuelled, hydrated and most importantly motivated.
In return for groups committing to volunteer we can offer;
- Volunteer T-shirt
- Food and refreshments
- Full support from a Manager
- 1 free space (for Velothon Wales 2018 event) per 10 group volunteers provided
- Opportunity to brand and promote at the feed station
- Social media recognition
- Opportunity to be linked with one of the Pro Race Teams
