Not joining the exodus to Yorkshire? Then come along to Bwlch Nant yr Arian on Sunday 6 July for Round 4 of the Welsh Mountain Bike XC Series.  Extensive felling to eradicate “larch disease” has recently taken place but the site and its mountain bike trails are now open again and the “Italian Job”, “Drunken Druid” and “High as a Kite” trails will form the basis of the course and guarantee that you come away grinning from ear to ear.

The fast, flowing single-track trails will be connected with forestry road and off-road sections through the felled forest. The main course is about 4.5 km in length and, with many of the trees felled, will offer fantastic views across the Ceredigion countryside. U8s, U10s and U12s will not be left out and will be able to enjoy the trails too!

The event is being promoted by the West Wales Cycle Racing Team; this is the first time they have organised a mountain bike event so please come along and give them your support. And Jay and Maddie of Fully Sussed Events will be making the long trip up from Plymouth to give you their excellent results service and commentary.

For WMBS Round 4 enter now online, by post, or on the day in all categories. No British Cycling membership or racing licence is required.

The trails will be open on Saturday as usual but are closed to non-competitors on the Sunday. Please follow the signs for event parking and, if riding the trails on Saturday, remember that you are sharing the venue with the public. Refreshments will be on sale on Sunday but the café can also be recommended. Visit Bwlch Nant yr Arian for more information (e.g. red kite feeding).
