Team USN athlete Jon Mould took silver in the scratch race at the Blaues Band von Zurich in Switzerland last night.
The 22 year old from Newport also came fourth in the points race behind Swiss rider Thery Schir. Italian rider Elia Viviani won both the scratch and points events on the Oerlikon Velodrome.
Welsh Cycling Junior Programme athlete Zach May stepped up to compete in the elite competition, in a strong field of international riders. May, riding for Cardiff JIF, placed 9th in the points race and 15th in the scratch.
Jon Mould has now qualified to compete for Team USN in the 2013/2014 UCI Track World Cup Series which opens in Manchester on Friday 1 November 2013.
