Becky James, Victoria Williamson, Dave Daniell and Pete Mitchell are the four riders representing GB at the 2010 Under 23 European Track Championships in St Petersburg, Russia taking place from the 11 - 15 September.

REPORT

On the final day - Wednesday -of the U23 European Track Championships, all four of the GB riders were in action in their respective keirin events.

Victoria Williamson added another Silver to her collection putting in a very good ride to come second overall in the junior women's event. Becky James finished in fifth position as she waited too long and missed the move in the U23 Women's Event. The French pairing of Clair and Cueff, who have had performed consistently well throughout the competition, came first and second with German rider Delev taking the bronze medal.

Pete Mitchell qualified through the semis into the final where he unfortunately crashed out on the last lap. He sustained some burns, but no major injuries. Dave Daniell didn't make it through the semi final round so raced in the minor final which he won, finishing in 7th position overall.

Tuesday saw Becky James return to the Podium to pick up her third medal of the competition so far. Becky won the Silver medal in the 500m TT, putting in a time of 35.30. Sandie Clair from France won the Gold medal in a time of 34.48 and fellow French rider Virginie Cueff completed the podium line up, riding the 500m in 35.59 to claim Bronze.

Dave went on to compete in the 5 - 8 final, finishing 7th overall.
