Cyclopedia Book Prize Draw

October 2010

We've got five copies of a new book, Cyclopedia, by William Fotheringham, published by Yellow Jersey Press, to give away in an exclusive member's draw.

The book is an A to Z of everything you ever wanted to know about cycling, and is the perfect gift for all bike lovers. We've had a good pore over the content and it's not really the traditional (boring?) A to Z format which publishers so often roll out in the hope of making a quick buck, or for that matter a quick book!

As you might expect from the author, who has a reputation for well researched biographies and other writing on cycling, it's got a bit more to it. The format is indeed A to Z, but it contains some delicious little nuggets of information, isn't afraid to head off down cycling's many side roads and, perhaps most satisfyingly, contains lots of juicy information about many current cyclists, cycling bodies and cycling events, which only a writer deeply involved in the sport could produce.

It's a book to dip into, rather than read cover to cover, but it's none the worse for this and you can guarantee it will grace many a cyclist's bedside table in the months come - we heartily recommend it.

The Draw

Our prize draw is open to British Cycling members only. All you have to do to enter is answer this simple question: What is the title of William Fotheringham's biography of Tom Simpson?

Send your answer in an email to editor@britishcycling.org.uk with "Cyclopedia Competition" in the subject field. Don't forget to include your name, address and British Cycling membership number.

The draw will be made on 30 October 2010 and all winners will be notified by email.
